High-resolution Spectroscopy

download brochure

Benchtop permanent magnet bassed system developed to measure high-resolution 1H NMR spectra from samples contained in standard 5 mm diameter NMR tubes. The large sample volume assures that no sensitivity is sacrificed by reducing the size of the magnet, which is a critical issue in small magnets.

The magnet generates a magnetic field of 1T (~40 MHz for 1H) and has a homogeneity better than 0.04 ppm in standard 5 mm NMR tubes. The sensor is equipped with shim coils up to second order and is activey temperature stabilized.

Benchtop magnet generating highly homogeneous magnetic fields

Spectrum of ethylacetate measured with 8 scans. The high sensitivity of the seystem makes it possible to resolve the the satellites lines corresponding to the J-coupling between 1H and 13C.
